The new year brings in a set of new and trending colours. WGSN and Coloro, Pantone and Pinterest Predicts have all reported their predications for the top trending colours of 2025. This year there continues to be an overlap between the visual associations of food and fashion. Pantone's colour of the year is even called Mocha Mousse. We are also seeing bright, zesty colours also continue to be front of mind, especially for the summer season.
These trending colour groups are perfect colours for all different types of occasions. Bolder colours bring brightness to garden weddings and summer gatherings, while more neutral tones, such as the Pantone colour of the year are made for the cooler season as well as more traditional formal and black tie dress codes. Celestial yellow is similar to a lemon yellow shade, while Pantone have reported that lime cream is going to be a popular hue for fashion in 2025.
Mocha Mousse
Mocha mousse is pantone's colour of the year for 2025. Pantone describes this colour as 'simple and comforting'. This shade will act as a neutral, the perfect go to shade for any occasion. Mocha mousse is also describe by Pantone as luxurious. It is a colour that would look good in a sparkly, silky or metallic texture.
Cherry Red
Pinterest Predicts reports that cherry red will be a colour of 2025. The essence of cherries will be seen in use across fashion in addition to other industries such as food and make up. Cherry red can become a statement colour in your wardrobe in 2025.
