Cool Blues, Midnight Florals

With the sun setting earlier and your mood getting chiller, it is time to brighten the cooler days with some winter florals. Floral dresses in winter are the best kinds of flowers to have around. Floral dresses will be there for you in the cooler months and shades of cool blues and midnight navys will keep you feeling fresh and crisp for your winter weddings and cocktail parties, while still leaving you optimistic for the warmer days.

Midnight floral dresses and cool blue hues are not here to leave you feeling too dark, but instead will fill a gap in your winter event season wardrobe. These darker shades are perfect for those key mid-year occasions which can often include country weddings, black tie galas and balls galore. For a fashionable twist, pair your winter floral dresses with chic heeled leather boots or a crystal encrusted headband. A gem earring or two also never goes astray if you are going to an ultra-fancy function. If you opt not to wear a floral dress to your event you can also inject some spring fever into your look with some floral inspired earrings.

Winery Weddings

These types of weddings often creep up around the winter months, this is often because there is no better winter wedding than one held in the country with a glass of wine in hand and a fireplace nearby. A winery wedding calls for one to imitate the landscape, and a floral dress is the perfect choice for this. Pair a floral full length dress with some chic heels (or a pair of luxury boots for the country!) and some gorgeous jewellery. A lace dress is also always a good idea to bring some textural elements to your look. Never forget, you can always add a bolero or a jacket to a dress without sleeves in the winter season.

Dinner Parties

A cocktail dress is the best requirement of any dinner party. Look your best in moody winter tones and opt for a navy lace cocktail dress or a wrap style dress with sleeves. Wearing a dress with sleeves to a winter dinner party is always a good idea as it will keep you feeling warmer yet still chic. Pair your cocktail dress with some jewellery to take your look up a notch.

Black Tie Affair

Amidst the cooler season there is always a black-tie affair. It could be a black-tie dress code for a winter wedding or it could be a black-tie charity ball. Either way a black-tie dress code usually calls for a formal dress and a full-length gown is a perfect choice for the cooler months.
