Montique Moments: Lacinda & David
Saturday, the 17th of May 2025, unfolded as a breathtaking autumn afternoon, with endless blue skies stretching over the rolling hills of Gerringong. Against the sweeping countryside and sparkling ocean views of Seacliff House, Lacinda and David began their next chapter together. Surrounded by lush green paddocks, grazing cows, and the serene beauty of the coast, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that was both intimate and expansive — a perfect reflection of their enduring love. Originally planned for August 17, 2024, the wedding date was postponed following profound heartbreak within both families. Only weeks before the original date, Lacinda lost her father and his partner. Six months later, David’s family experienced the unexpected loss of his stepfather. These immense losses shaped the rescheduled wedding day with tenderness and meaning. Though there was a gentle thread of remembrance woven throughout, the celebration was ultimately defined by gratitude, resilience, and the enduring strength of family.
The wedding day unfolded in a soft, romantic palette that felt effortless and serene. Gentle neutrals and blush tones were layered with delicate textures, while subtle touches of blue appeared throughout, weaving a quiet thread of connection across the celebration. Blue was present in the floral arrangements, David’s suit, Lacinda’s shoes, the bridesmaids’ earrings, and even in the dresses of the mother of the groom, the step-mother-in-law, and the mother of the bride — small details that tied the day together with meaningful symbolism. The flowers themselves told their own story. Each bridesmaid’s bouquet reflected her individuality, while Lacinda’s combined blooms celebrated unity and love. Lacinda’s twin sister, Brittany, stood by her side as maid of honour. One of the most touching details of the day was Lacinda’s bouquet, bound with the tie she had chosen for her father to wear and accompanied by a cherished photo of him. Ensuring his presence was felt as she walked down, carrying through the ceremony and the entire celebration.
In the evening, Lacinda and David guided their guests to the reception, which took place at the Barn at Seacliff House. With vision and remarkable strength, Lacinda DIY’d many elements of the reception with the support of family and friends. Transforming the blank canvas of The Barn at Seacliff House into a warm and layered reception space designed to encourage connection. Long shared-style dining tables were adorned with thoughtful textures and curated details. A hand-built champagne wall featured individually tagged thrifted glasses, adding charm and personality. Time capsule cards invited guests to write messages for the couple’s future, and reserved chairs honoured loved ones who were dearly missed. As the evening unfolded, laughter and heartfelt conversation filled the barn, creating an atmosphere of warmth and unity. Every detail reflected Lacinda and David’s resilience, creativity, and deep love for one another.
Lacinda’s mother, Sandra, wore our Amelia Navy Gown, adding a touch of blue. Keeping the wedding’s soft, romantic theme in mind, she chose the Amelia Gown for its flattering silhouette and beautiful shoulder detail, which complemented the gentle pastel and blue tones throughout the day. To complete her look, she paired the gown with understated accessories that highlighted the dress’s timeless design. She fell in love with the Amelia Gown the moment she tried it on, sharing: “I tried on other dresses which were lovely, however, I knew I needed something to honour the elegance and grace of my daughter. This was the one.”
