Celebrations in Style: Easter

With the next celebration around the corner being Easter, it is important to make sure you are feeling beautiful, chic and comfortable in the perfect dress for your Easter event. Whether you are apart of the bridal party, on a wedding guest list or hosting a garden party, it is a great season to experiment with your look, and bring new colours, prints and silhouettes into your event wardrobe. This Easter try hopping into something feathered for a bridal hen’s or something watercolour printed for a lavish garden party or brunch.

Pastel shades and prints are perfect for the Easter season as they are bright and playful. While you play with the colour palette of your look, think about accessories which complement the pastel colour you choose to wear. When it comes to shape, flowy styles provide both elegance and sophistication while still being comfortable and midi dresses are versatile, allowing for you to wear heels for a wedding and flats for a more casual gathering.

Easter Weddings

Weddings held during the Easter season call for a bright colour palette and feminine details. Soft hues can present themselves through floral bouquets, make-up or accessories and of course, through printed wedding guest dresses and feathered bridal shower dresses. Pastel colours such as blues, pinks and lavenders make for beautiful dress colours, as they are delicate on the eye and are the perfect tones to achieve an elegant look for a wedding event. If you have a hen’s party on at this time of the year then you can also incorporate colourful and feminine details into your look. For the bride to be; feather trims can be the perfect way to create a playful whilst elegant day-time look that rolls into the night.

Christening Season

The start of the year calls for a sense of refresh and renewal, and what better way to start the year than with a Christening. Think a warm weathered Sunday afternoon in the midst of the Easter season. Mum of bub can wear some printed, light coloured or pastel inspired. Baby blues and bright pinks are the perfect shades for an Easter time occasion. Guests can be adorned in bright and whimsical inspired accessories. Wear something casual and fun yet still conservative so you can enjoy the aftermath of the BBQ and ice cream cake after the Christening ceremony.

Garden Parties & Autumn Brunches

This delightful Easter season brings with it vibrant colours, chocolate eggs and of course, quintessential Easter garden parties and Sunday morning brunches. Think floral prints, pastel hues, and light, airy fabrics that dance with the breeze. Soft printed dresses are a fun way to encapsulate the spirit of Easter at your brunch party. Pair your whimsical printed pastel dress with a pair of flats, perfect for dancing around the garden in, or heels if it is a bit more of a formal affair - like a garden wedding. As the sun starts to set, add a layer of functionality to your look; elegant wraps or boleros can also complement the pastel tones of the dress.
