Get The Look: SAG Awards

We have just been graced with the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, and with the SAG Awards came some amazing red carpet looks. The SAG Awards are the last award ceremony before the notable Oscars, so we imagine that the celebrities have a wardrobe full of options for the season and are saving their best dress for last. Although this is not to say that there weren’t any stunning looks on the SAG red carpet – we definitely saw many of those.

The SAG Awards dress code can be best understood as being a mix between black tie and formal. Some of the trends we saw this year at the 2024 award ceremony were bold brights – think block colours such as reds and cobalts, metallic moments and graceful yet sculptural pieces that definitely drew attention. We have gathered some of our favourite looks in this edit.

Metallic Moment

Metallics never looked so good. Carrie Mulligan shined on the SAG red carpet in a metallic strapless number. The piece with a shade that can only be described as a cross between a liquid gold and a sparkling champagne. The gold in the dress was brought out through the pairing of an elegant gold necklace and some simple gold stud earrings.

Simple Yet Chic

Arguably the most classic black tie look of the whole SAG award red carpet, America Ferrera stunned in a simple yet elegant black a line gown. With an off the shoulder neckline and a contrasting while sleeve detail, the Barbie film star simply radiated. She paired some elegant silver jewels with her look to add an extra element of sparkle.

Bold In Blue

Anne Hathaway went bold this year on the SAG red carpet with a bold cobalt blue gown - should we call it cerulean blue? The off the shoulder detail and the silver jewellery made her sparkle on the carpet, and the whole look is very on point for a black tie affair.
