Montique Moments: Ally & Owain

Saturday the 8th of March, was a perfect summer’s afternoon with serene blue skies setting the stage for a romantic and unforgettable celebration of Ally and Owain's vows. In the late afternoon, Ally and Owain were married in the Hidden Gardens at Caversham House, nestled beside the tranquil Swan River in Perth. The ceremony was held on the breathtaking sandstone staircase surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens and hand carved statues. The staircase offered a celebratory backdrop, cascading behind the newlyweds, as they made their joyful walk back down the aisle. Adding a personal element to the ceremony, Ally and Owain’s dog, Harry, took on the honourable role of ring bearer. A timeless palette of white accented with gold and green set a refined tone for the day. The bridesmaids were dressed in soft sage gowns that seamlessly echoed the day’s elegant colour scheme.

After the ceremony, Ally and Owain guided their guests to the marquee, where a seating chart was thoughtfully positioned between floral displays that were similar to those adorning the ceremony steps. Guests were greeted by a custom mirror at the entrance, which provided a great photo opportunity. The reception embraced a modern European aesthetic, blending simplicity with understated elegance. The palette of white with gold accents was carried through the space—from the monogram on the dance floor to the refined edging of the charger plates. The room was gently illuminated by chandeliers and candlelight, creating an inviting warmth beneath the ceiling silks. After the first dances and speeches, Ally slipped into her second dress, marking the beginning of the evening’s celebrations. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple toasted to their new chapter with a champagne tower while sparklers lit up the space, setting a romantic tone as they danced the night away.

Ally’s mother, Penny, wore our striking Amelia Hot Pink Gown styled with delicate jewellery. Pink was always a preference for Penny and Ally as they have both shared a love for pink since Ally was a little girl. Penny wanted to look and feel special as this was her first time being a mother of the bride, as well as this, she had the honour of walking Ally down the aisle. Penny wore our Harper Ivory Jumpsuit to Ally and Owain’s engagement party and knew she would choose Montique for her mother of the bride gown. Penny immediately fell in love with the Amelia Hot Pink Gown which she found in our Montique store in David Jones Perth. She also selected the Grace Mink Sequin Gown as her second preference. She told us “the Amelia Gown is a beautiful colour with a flattering fit. It was extremely comfortable - I felt confident and received many compliments on my final look.”
