Montique Moments: Mackenzie & Joel
Saturday, the 8th of March was a perfect summer’s afternoon, with serene blue skies setting the stage for a romantic and unforgettable celebration of Mackenzie and Joel’s vows. In the late afternoon, the couple were married at the breathtaking Chapter Barn—a picturesque property nestled in the rolling hills of Victoria’s Bass Coast. The ceremony took place at the top of the hill, overlooking sweeping views of the Bass Coast and Outtrim Hills, surrounded by stone walls and beautifully manicured gardens. The colour palette was inspired by the Amalfi Coast, featuring soft greenery and shades of blue and yellow to create a fresh and vibrant atmosphere for the special day.
The bridal party got ready in the estate’s 120-year-old homestead, within a private two-bedroom studio where Mackenzie and her bridesmaids enjoyed a pre-celebration glass of champagne. Continuing the coastal colour scheme, Mackenzie paired her gown with pale blue heels with her bridesmaids wearing lemon yellow gowns that seamlessly echoed the day’s elegant palette. Their dresses were complemented by remarkable floral bouquets featuring white roses, phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangeas, and delphiniums. The reception embraced the Amalfi Coast aesthetic, blending simplicity with understated elegance. A palette of white, pale blue, and yellow carried through the space—from the table decorations to the scattered pearls throughout the venue. Creating a cheerful atmosphere for the newlyweds to celebrate and dance the night away with their closest friends and family.
Mackenzie’s mother, Cheryl, wore our striking Manon Petal Hand Beaded Gown. Keeping the coastal wedding theme in mind, Cheryl chose the Manon Gown for its soft pastel pink hue, which complemented the pastel yellow and blue colour palette seamlessly. She knew it was the perfect choice—not only for its beautiful colour, but also for its intricate beading and flattering silhouette. To complete her look, Cheryl purchased our Orphia Pink Earrings from our online store, which paired beautifully with the gown’s pastel tones. She fell in love with the Manon Gown the moment she tried it on at our Montique store in Myer Chadstone, telling us: “as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one—it made me feel confident, special, and ready to enjoy such a meaningful day.”
