Real Life, Real Stories: Madison And Lachy

Madison and Lachy’s life was busy in the past year of their engagement, until one day they decided May 20th was the day they were getting married. Being only eight weeks away they enlisted the help of Ashley at Nudo (wedding planners). Coincidentally, in the year before setting the date Madison had purchased a few key pieces like bridesmaid’s dresses and handmade her own ceramic vases (Madison’s pottery side-hustle). Madison says on reflection, they planned a wedding backward by shopping for dresses and making things we knew we wanted and just made them work on the day.

I was just waiting for one of the cogs in the wheel to go wrong but literally nothing did, I think it was because I didn’t put too much pressure on the little things and just wanted everyone in the bridal party to feel great.”

The wedding was held at the Wool Mill, Brunswick, north of Melbourne. The décor was stunning and unassuming with bursts of brightly coloured and modern floral arrangements, complimenting the floral applique in the bride’s gown.

When planning, Madison mentioned that she wanted both her mum and dad to walk her down the aisle. Madison’s mum didn’t want be too dressed up but still wanted to look elegantly dressed, and Madison just wanted her to feel amazing. “My mum was searching online and saw an inspirational photo for her look, so started looking out for this type of dress. After looking online, we saw the Mimi gown at Montique and knew it was definitely the brand we wanted to shop, so we went into the Myer Chadstone store. We were so excited that the dress I loved online was still in stock, we knew it was the right one from seeing it online.”

“She absolutely loved the dress. And when we were all ready Mum was walking down the stairs everyone there just thought she looked incredible"

Catching the light with every step, Madison’s mum sparkled against the romantic lighting in her Mimi Gown, capturing an unforgettable moment that Madison and her family will cherish forever.

The stunning Mimi Hand Beaded Gown is a gorgeous evening gown featuring a bateau-neckline, short flutter sleeves, and a blouson bodice. A long, flowing skirt and keyhole button closure and invisible back zipper on a show-stopping hand beaded formal gown. This gown is an excellent choice for Mother of Bride/Groom and special occasions alike.
