Spotlight On Sage Green

Sage green is everywhere to be seen this season. Green is not the girl it used to be, we are seeing green shades in just about everything – from nature to homewares, the colour is definitely difficult to escape (and we are not mad about it!). There are kelly greens and olive greens and zesty greens, just about enough greens to sustain a healthy diet. One of our favourite greens has got to be the muted, almost pastel like shade of sage green. This is our freshest colour.

In our opinion, sage green has joined the neutrals in our wardrobe. Dressing in sage green is the perfect way to jump on the green bandwagon without going all out. Sage green is stylish and subtle, and it is the ideal tone for many occasions. It is festive without being over the top. Sage green dresses were made for blushing bridesmaids, wedding guests and fashion girls for party outfits. You can also add flicks of sage green to your look if you prefer not to go completely green this season. Floral print dresses and sage green jewellery is the perfect route to go down if you want to add some earthy tones to your wardrobe rotation for this event season.

Bridesmaids

With it’s natural touch and fresh nature, sage green is the perfect palette for your bridesmaids. Whether it is a garden wedding or nuptials at a winery, the colour will elegantly transport you to your destination and will add a touch of fun along the way. If you are having mix and match bridesmaids opt for a block colour of sage green in a midi dress and a print with touches of sage green in it for the perfect combination.

Mother Of The Bride

Sage green breaks the mother of the bride colour mould. It is classic and elegant but it differs from the usual suspects of navy and emerald. Mum will look sleek and sophisticated in a sage green number at the wedding. Opt for a hand beaded dress without the cliché by having it in a sage green colourway. This is the perfect option for high summer weddings and spring weddings.

Freshly Grown Sage

Printed dresses which feature flecks of sage are always a good idea. They are perfect for wedding guests, garden party goers (and growers i.e. hosts!) and even just for a girls brunch on a sunny Sunday. Printed dresses are versatile and chic and when they show off a bit of sage green, they are our favourite kind.
